Trichome Tuesday is a weekly look in the internal magical world of the flower we all adore. Here we get to see some of our favorite strains and the disco ball of THC inside them thru my macro-scope. One of my least favorite things I hear is the non-toker saying”isn’t all cannabis the same thing” here we can see just how all cannabis is not created equally. Harlequin is this weeks Trichome Tuesday she's a real romantic hybrid that has a dominate sativa side. Harlequin is a unique strain it has a relatively low THC count but is very high in CBDs. CBD's(Cannabidiol) are the more medicinal of the 85 cannabinoids found in cannabis and have a calming effect on nerves and ease overall body pain. CBDs have also been known to shrink cancer cells and are a hot topic in the medical debate over cannabis. Its a most unusual sativa because of this and is very sought after for some patients.
I recently tried cross-fit and felt as though I had been taken through the mid evil torture chamber and was in need of some CBD love and I picked up this Harlequin at the Emerald Triangle Collective in Sherman Oaks, CA.
It was a great find smoked really well, as you can see by the zoom in it was harvested at its peak(heads of the trichomes are golden). Harlequin has this real floral/herbal taste like you were walking into an apothecary in the weird part of town. I did feel a nice mellow body high without passing out. I also grabbed some more Harlequin from Harborside Health Center this past weekend from our trip north to the San Fran High Times Cannabis Cup. I'll be posting macros of that on Mjmajorphotog.
